Job & Team Purpose:
Work with the Systems Accountant to automate processes within Finance, resulting in business efficiencies and reporting improvements.
Job requirements
Your Responsibilities:
Develop code that automates processes, as specified in the Finance Roadmap, resulting in improved finance controls and systems. All code written must be of a quality that can be included and supported within IT strategic infrastructure. Added-value features should be contributed to the solutions where feasible.
Your Current Skills & Experience:
Be prepared to learn/develop in VBA, SQL, and already have at least one object-oriented language. Nice-to-haves are M Formula language and Python. We would expect a degree in computer programming, though exceptions are possible if there is a large amount of evidenced work, e.g., on GitHub. We would like the candidate to have a substantial portfolio of work available online for review.
Your Growth & Learning:
The successful candidate will develop business knowledge within the Finance department of a tech-focused financial services business.
Interview Process:
There will be two stages. The first interview will be with the Systems Accountant, where a business issue will be worked through from problem to solution. The ideal candidate will then progress to a second interview with the Chief Finance Officer and the Head of Finance Transformation.
